Mackintosh LTC – Easter Holiday Tennis Camps 2019

During the Easter Holidays we will be running 2 weeks of tennis camps. The tennis camps are a fantastic way for your children to keep fit, have fun, improve their tennis and make new friends.

Dates:
Week 1: Monday 15th – Thursday 18th April
Week 2: Tuesday 23rd – Friday 26th April

Sessions/Prices:
Mini Red (ages 4-8)   10-11am  
£22 members / £28 non-members (per week)
£6 members / £8 non-members (per day)

All Day (ages 8+)   11am-4pm 
£72 members / £90 non-members (per week)
£20 members / £25 non-members (per day)

We will also be running 3 days of Adults Tennis Camps during Easter Holidays 7-8:30pm on the following dates: Monday 15th, Wednesday 17th and Friday 26th April.

Players will be grouped with others of a similar standard

The costs for Adults Tennis Camp will be as follows:
£10 members / £12 non-members (per day)
£24 members / £30 non-members (3 days)

Please note – only a limited number of places available for the tennis camps. Please book your place early to avoid disappointment.

Mackintosh LTC – Wimbledon Ticket Ballot 2019

To be eligible to enter our clubs Wimbledon ticket ballot you MUST have opted-in by Friday 22nd February 2019. To opt-in, simply follow the link below, log-in to your British Tennis account and select opt-in (it shouldn’t take any longer than 2 minutes). If you have a few British Tennis members in your family, make sure you all opt-in to give yourself a greater chance of getting tickets in the clubs ballot.

If you have recently joined the club as a member – unfortunately we are no longer able to automatically sign you up for British Tennis Membership, you will be required to do this yourself. Please register with British Tennis by following the link below, its FREE, make sure you link yourself with Mackintosh LTC & don’t forget to opt-in for the Wimbledon ballot.

Mackintosh LTC – Handicap Competition 2019

Entries are now open for our 2019 Handicap Competitions.
Events include Mixed Singles & NEW for this year a Doubles Handicap competition.
This years event will run from Monday 4th March with the Final taking place on Saturday 13th April 3pm.

This is a great event for players of all experience levels, as the handicap scoring system gives everyone an equal opportunity of doing well.
Last years Singles Champion was Ben Voss.

The event is open to all adults and stronger juniors (ages 12+) – there will also be a few of the clubs coaches playing. Could you cause an upset and beat one of the coaches?

If you would like to enter, please contact Rhys Morgan or alternatively put your name on the entry sheet located on the white board inside the door next to the floodlight meters. Entries cost £5 per event and should be handed to Rhys Morgan before the entry deadline (Friday 1st March).

During February Half Term we will be running 3 days of tennis camps from Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th February, plus a competition day on Thursday 28th February. The Tennis Camps are designed for the children to keep fit, have fun, improve their tennis skills and make new friends. With our enthusiastic team of qualified coaches your children are guaranteed an amazing experience.

The Summer Holiday Tennis Camps are designed for the children to keep fit, have fun, improve their tennis skills and make new friends. Easystore Backs One of the UK’s Top Tennis Clubs

South Wales self storage firm Easystore has backed one of the country’s top tennis clubs in a sponsorship deal that helps the future of the sport in the Welsh capital.

Mackintosh LTC is based in the Roath area of Cardiff and will utilise the partnership to help reinvest in its facilities as well as support its senior teams, starting with an Open Day on Saturday 12th May.

Brendan Connies-Laing, Director of Easystore Self Storage, spoke of the link-up with the club: “I am incredibly honoured that Easystore has teamed up with one of the UK’s top tennis clubs. Located in the heart of Roath, near the centre of Cardiff, the Mackintosh Sports Club has a very well established Lawn Tennis Club. Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club recently named Tennis Wales Club of the Year for 2017 is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Wales and a founder member of the Welsh LTA. The club boasts a total of five outdoor floodlit hard macadam courts, and offers a comprehensive coaching and competitions programme catering for players of all ages and experience levels.

Easystore Self Storage was established in 2002 and developed its first facility in Cardiff the following year with the Bridgend facility opening in 2009. Aimed at ages 4-16 of all experience levels, the tennis camps are a fantastic way for your children to keep fit, have fun, improve their tennis and make new friends. With our enthusiastic team of qualified coaches (all DBS checked, and First Aid trained) your children are guaranteed an amazing experience.
