Mackintosh LTC is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk who engage in all tennis activities. Whether you/your child are engaging in coaching, matches or other organised events, we will strive to keep children, young people and adults at risk safe and free from harm.

Mike Pickerill is the Welfare Officer for Mackintosh LTC and is available to discuss any concerns or worries you may have – 07772 119046 or mike.pickerill@outlook.com

Members who wish to raise a matter of concern may do so knowing that it shall be dealt with sensitively, confidentially, discreetly and with honesty of purpose.

Mike has been the Welfare Officer since January 2021. He has been a member of the Mackintosh Tennis Club since moving to Cardiff in 2017. Mike attends Social Tennis, Men’s Tennis evening and Cardio Tennis, plus has been regularly playing in the Annual Handicap Tournament and Club Championships. Mike is also a Captain for one of the Mixed Tennis teams, playing regularly in the Winter and Summer leagues.

Outside of the club, Mike has been a qualified Social Worker since 2012, specialising in Child Protection and has worked both in London and in South Wales. Mike’s hobbies outside of tennis include cooking, baking and reading.
