Mackintosh LTC – Summer Holiday Tennis Camps 2020

Are you looking for a safe socially distant activity to keep your children active during the Summer Holidays? We are running our popular tennis camps for children of all ages and experience levels at Mackintosh Lawn Tennis Club. We have had to make some changes to our usual tennis camps schedule to be able to maintain our safety measures in line with the current rules/guidelines for running organised outdoor activities and playing tennis in Wales.

Aimed at ages 4-16 of all experience levels, the tennis camps are a fantastic way for your children to keep fit, have fun, improve their tennis and make new friends. With our enthusiastic team of qualified coaches (all DBS checked, and First Aid trained) your children are guaranteed an amazing experience.

We will be running three weeks of Summer Holiday Tennis Camps on the following dates:

Week 1 – Monday 3rd August – Friday 7th August
Week 2 – Monday 10th August – Friday 14th August
Week 3 – Monday 17th August – Friday 21st August

Blue Stage (ages 4-6) – 9-9:55am – parents MUST join in on-court with your child
£7.50 members / £10 non-members (per day)
£30 members / £40 non-members (per week)

Red Stage (ages 6-8) – 10-10:55am
£7.50 members / £10 non-members (per day)
£30 members / £40 non-members (per week

Red Stage Invitation (ages 6-8) – 9-10:55am 
Orange Stage (ages 8-9) – 9-10:55am
Green Stage (ages 9-10) – 9-10:55am
Yellow Stage (ages 11+) – 11:30am-1:25pm
Invitational Squads (ages 11+) – 2:30-4:25pm
£15 members / £20 non-members (per day)
£60 members / £80 non-members (per week)

Adults Tennis Camps (Beginners, Improvers & Advanced) – 7-8:55pm
Week 1 – Monday 3rd August
Week 2 – Monday 10th August
Week 3 – Monday 17th August
£15 members / £20 non-members (per day)
£37.50 members / £50 non-members (all 3 days)

Please note – we are limited to ONLY 6 PLACES PER GROUP on the courses. Please book early to avoid disappointment. 

All players attending the courses MUST be able to follow social distancing rules!!

Mackintosh LTC – Return to Tennis – 13/03/21

Following the latest Welsh Government announcement, we are pleased to be able to re-open the club from Saturday 13th March 2021.

The club committee have put in place safety measures and rules to ensure members and families are able to return to playing tennis at the club in a safe environment.

To access the courts all members MUST have paid their membership fees for the 2020/21 membership year.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming members back to the club. We want to reassure members that we have thoroughly followed the guidelines from the Welsh Government and the LTA/Tennis Wales to ensure the club is as safe as possible for members to return to tennis.

Mackintosh LTC – *Membership Offer*

We are very excited to provide an amazing 3-month trial membership offer for new members* to join our fantastic tennis club. The offer will go live as soon as we are given the green light to re-open our facilities following the Coronavirus pandemic.

The cost of the the 3-month membership trial will be as follows (save up to £30):

Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre – Coronavirus Update – 22/03/2020

Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre are officially closed until further notice.

However, the tennis courts will remain open for the use of members (subject to strict social distancing and hygiene practices). Individual lessons/hitting are also available from the coaching team (adapted to ensure safe social distancing – with the coach staying on the opposite side of the net). Please get in contact if you would like to book a session.

Mackintosh LTC – Wimbledon Ballot 2020 Opt-In

To be eligible to enter our clubs Wimbledon ticket ballot you MUST have opted-in by Friday 14th  February 2020. To opt-in, simply follow the link below, log-in to your British Tennis account and select opt-in (it shouldn’t take any longer than 2 minutes). If you have a few British Tennis members in your family, make sure you all opt-in to give yourself a greater chance of getting tickets in the clubs ballot.

If you have recently joined the club as a member – unfortunately we are no longer able to automatically sign you up for British Tennis Membership, you will be required to do this yourself. Mackintosh LTC – Festive Fun 2019

On Saturday 14th December 2019, members of all ages enjoyed some festive celebrations at the club.

During the Children’s party, the children enjoyed dancing, playing some fun games and even had a visit from Father Christmas. To see some of the photos, please click here .

The second party saw some of our junior members taking on the Christmas Mini Olympics. With a range of activities including table tennis, pool, crisp tasting, dynamic quiz and the legendary After 8 challenge with Emma’s Baubles taking the win. To see some of the photos, please click here. 

To finish the evening, some of the Adult members spent the evening having a few drinks and playing games.
