Mackintosh LTC – May Half Term Matchplay Day

During the May Half Term we will be running a LTA Youth Matchplay day at Mackintosh LTC for players aged 6-14 on Friday 4th June.

Playing matches and competition is a vital part of learning to play the game. Competition can help to motivate players and provides a purpose for coaching. In addition, it helps to teach players key life lessons such as learning to win and lose, never giving up, fair play and sportsmanship, plus lots more.

Events include:
8&U Red Stage – 10am-12pm
9&U Orange Stage – 1pm-3:30pm
10&U Green Stage – 9:30-12:30pm
14&U Yellow Stage – 1:30-4:30pm

All events will include both singles and doubles matches played in a relaxed environment to give players a great competition experience.

**Please note – when entering only enter your child into the Singles event – they will be automatically added to the Doubles event for their age group**

Mackintosh LTC – *Membership Offer*

We are very excited to provide an amazing 3-month trial membership offer for new members* to join our fantastic tennis club. The offer will go live as soon as we are given the green light to re-open our facilities following the Coronavirus pandemic.

The cost of the the 3-month membership trial will be as follows (save up to £30):

  • Juniors (ages 11-18) – £10
  • Individual Adults (ages 18+) – £20
  • Couple (both aged 18+ living together) – £30
  • Family (Parents/Guardians & children under 18) – £40

At Mackintosh LTC, we have thoroughly followed the guidelines from Tennis Wales and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to put in place safety measures and rules to ensure members and families are able to play tennis at the club in a safe environment.

During the 3 months you will receive the following membership benefits:

  • FREE access to our 5 outdoor hard courts
  • Access to our online court booking system
  • FREE social membership which allows access to our clubhouse and bar (currently closed)
  • FREE LTA Lite Membership
  • Discounts on coaching and other organised sessions

Mackintosh LTC – Festive Fun 2019

On Saturday 14th December 2019, members of all ages enjoyed some festive celebrations at the club.

During the Children’s party, the children enjoyed dancing, playing some fun games and even had a visit from Father Christmas. To see some of the photos, please click here .

The second party saw some of our junior members taking on the Christmas Mini Olympics. With a range of activities including table tennis, pool, crisp tasting, dynamic quiz and the legendary After 8 challenge with Emma’s Baubles taking the win. To see some of the photos, please click here. 

To finish the evening, some of the Adult members spent the evening having a few drinks and playing games. 

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with your loved ones.

Mackintosh LTC – Great British Tennis Weekend 2018

On Saturday 12th May we will be hosting a Great British Tennis Weekend event at Mackintosh LTC. The event will run from 3-6pm and will include an afternoon of fun-filled tennis activities for all members of the family.

Mackintosh LTC was recently named Tennis Wales Club of the Year for 2017 and looks forward to welcoming new faces to the club.

On the day, there will be an opportunity to take part in taster sessions including Tots Tennis, Mini Tennis, Junior Tennis, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis, plus much more.
