Our committee members and their roles are as follows:

Club Chairman – Tom Griffiths

After moving up to Cardiff for University, Tom joined Mackintosh in 2014. He quickly found his second home & family at ‘the Mack’. Tom says “Tennis has afforded me some brilliant opportunities and memories, I am passionate about ensuring everyone has the same chance to create their own”.

Weaknesses:
Backhands

Professionally Tom has 2 companies based in Bristol & London. Lately Tom has become focused in Mergers & Acquisitions advising in several high-profile transactions over the last couple of years.

Club Secretary & Ladies Club Captain – Emma McClory

Emma has been the Club Secretary since 2018, and has been the Ladies Club Captain since 2013 – when Emma took on the responsibility of captaining & running our Ladies team in 2013. It was a challenge to get enough players together to field a team and quite often some of our players barely knew the rules. Fast forward to 2021, and the Ladies section is now thriving with over 30 Ladies regularly attending Team Practice nights, and 3 teams playing in the South Wales leagues – a great deal of this success is a product of Emma’s hard work and enthusiasm over the years.

Outside of the club, Emma is a qualified Primary School teacher and enjoys shopping and travelling in her spare time.

Club Treasurer – Paul Daley

Known as “Mr Mackintosh” for years, Paul has been integral to the running of the club for over 50 years. In more recent years, Paul has helped to manage the development of the new building, managed the Club Steward and co-managed facility projects to enable two new courts to be laid, and the resurfacing of the other 3 courts. Without Paul’s hard work and dedication over the years the club wouldn’t be as it is today.
